Boutique Edition
TUDOR presents an exclusive new version of the popular Black Bay Fifty-Eight, now in Bronze and only available in select TUDOR boutiques worldwide. Its name is a reference to the precious metal used in its case and bracelet and also to 1958, the year in which the first TUDOR divers’ watch, reference 7924 (“Big Crown”), was introduced.
The Tudor Know-How
The Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze is a spectacular example of the craftmanship TUDOR invests in its timepieces. The choice of bronze requires extensive processes and no fewer than forty additional steps to craft each case, which is further complicated by the fact that bronze is a material whose appearance evolves rapidly according to its environment. Meticulous care is taken handle each watch, preserving its new, non-patinated appearance.
A “Living” Metal
This new iteration of the Black Bay Fifty-Eight comes in a 39 mm bronze case, with aesthetic nods to the bronze used in naval, deep-sea diving equipment of old, as well as the the characteristic proportions of watches from the 1950s. A high-performance aluminium bronze alloy typically used in naval engineering, it is particularly resistant to corrosion. A subtle and unique patina develops over time to match its owner's habits and with its "brown-bronze" dial and gold accented hands and hour markers, creates a visual effect of a rich, lustrous timepiece, one that is unique to every person and their lifestyle.
Total Bronze Look
From its bronze case to a first of its kind bronze bracelet, the Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze exudes a total bronze effect.
New Bronze Bracelet
This model marks the first time the brand has produced a bracelet entirely from bronze. Adopting the style of TUDOR bracelets of the 1950s and '60s, it is designed to develop a patina at the same pace as its case.
New Bronze Clasp
A new bronze clasp, with a redesigned cover and TUDOR "T-fit" rapid adjustment system for the length, completes the total bronze look. Easy to use, requiring no tools, it allows wearers a fuss-free instant adjustment of the bracelet.
Complimentary Fabric Strap
The Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze comes with complimentary "bronze-brown" woven jacquard strap, which draws inspiration from TUDOR's naval heritage.
