The new TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph collection is a bold tribute to the adrenaline-fueled world of motorsport, seamlessly blending sharp, dynamic design elements with the brand’s storied racing heritage. Inspired by F1 aerodynamics, the case mirrors a race car’s sleek nose, while the micro-perforated bezel nods to brake discs. Crafted from lightweight grade-2 titanium, with select DLC-coated models, it balances strength and comfort. The aluminium tachymeter bezel, accented by a coloured ring, reflects Formula 1 precision. Skeletonized hands, sculpted pushers, and bold lacquered crown rings enhance its modern, high-performance appeal.
Inspired by “Grand Prix by Night,” the collection’s deep black tones are energized by bold colour accents, capturing the thrill of night racing. Some models feature a striking red track around the dial, complemented by red lacquer accents and matching rubber straps. The 44mm black DLC-coated grade-2 titanium case is built for endurance, offering 200m water resistance. A black opaline dial with a red lacquered track radiates kinetic energy, while luminescent hands and indexes ensure readability. The chronograph includes three azuré-finished subdials and a red lacquered central hand for precision, all protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal.
Further reinforcing its racing DNA, the watch features a black DLC-coated titanium screw-down case back, a sandblasted screw-down crown with red lacquer accents, and matching chronograph pushbuttons. The design is completed with a bold red rubber strap, secured by a black DLC-coated steel pin buckle engraved with the TAG Heuer logo. Measuring 47.3mm lug-to-lug with a 14.1mm thickness, the watch maintains a powerful yet wearable presence on the wrist.
The Formula 1 collection, once defined by quartz models, now features the Caliber 16 automatic movement for enhanced precision. Its black opaline dial, highlighted by a bold red lacquered track, reinforces its racing DNA. A balanced chronograph layout includes a red-lacquered seconds subdial at 12 o’clock, a 1/10th second and hour counter at 6 o’clock, and a minute counter at 9 o’clock.
