Before becoming a watchmaking Maison, Speake Marin is, above all, a human story.
In 2002, the encounter between Peter Speake, a British master watchmaker, and Daniela Marin gave rise to a singular vision: that of an independent watchmaking house where British elegance engages in dialogue with Swiss technical excellence, in the service of a personal and authentic interpretation of time. What began as a love story has naturally evolved into a family story, rooted in watchmaking heritage, trust, and a deep respect for horological craftsmanship.

In 2012, a new chapter opened with the arrival of Christelle Rosnoblet at the helm of Speake Marin. A collector and long-time enthusiast of fine watchmaking, she brings a perspective that is both sensitive and exacting. Faithful to the founding spirit, she chose to preserve the Maison’s British soul while placing it within a contemporary dynamic. She reinforced its independence and instilled a long-term entrepreneurial vision, guided by rarity and 100% Swiss watchmaking expertise. At Speake Marin, rarity is not a positioning it is a conviction. Each timepiece is conceived as a confidential creation, intended for a discerning few, where time is allowed to unfold and every detail matters. This identity finds expression in the iconic Piccadilly case, a true signature of the Maison. Inspired by classical British elegance, it conveys a presence that is both strong and timeless, immediately recognisable, where balanced proportions and subtle lines reflect a discreet sophistication.

In contrast to this icon, the Ripples collection embodies a contemporary vision. Balancing British character with an ultra sport-chic spirit, it explores new territories of expression, combining innovation with fidelity to the Maison’s identity.

Under the leadership of Christelle Rosnoblet, Speake Marin has established a rare and controlled position within the landscape of contemporary independent watchmaking, at the crossroads of tradition and avant-garde. This commitment comes fully to life within its integrated manufacture, Le Cercle des Horlogers, located in the Neuchâtel region. As the technical heart of the Maison, this workshop dedicated to the research, development and assembly of movements ensures complete mastery over watchmaking creation. More than ten calibres have been entirely developed there, granting the Maison total creative freedom.
Today, Speake Marin continues to uphold this spirit by working closely with local artisans and long-standing partners, helping to preserve rare Métiers d’Art and sustain exceptional craftsmanship.
