Established on 4th April 2001, the genesis of Swiss Watch is an interesting tale of time and chance. Swiss Watch began as a multi-brand emporium of luxury watches established by leading luxury and lifestyle retail specialist, Valiram. The very first Swiss Watch boutique opened in Penang International Airport with an assortment of 16 watch brands, marking a product repertoire that was more than the selection in most downtown boutiques at the time.

Even in time of challenges and upheaval, the company, under the stewardship of the founding family, has ben making bold moves since its inception in 1935. Founder Utumal Valiram could not have foreseen where his legacy would lead when he established his humble trading company. The entrepreneurial zeal and foresight of his son Jethanand Valiram saw through the evolution of the Valiram enterprise, diversifying into manufacturing and selling fabric and garment before steering the company towards its next phase – lifestyle retail.
